Game Review: TNA IMPACT

Although TNA are simply trying to get in on the huge profits, made by THQ for their 'WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw', they have created quite a decent game that demands a fairly high level of both skill and concentration. In my opinion, I find controls both simpler and easier to use when compared to its rival 'S. Vs. W.'
When talking about graphics, I would give 'TNA Impact' a 7/10 for its nice try at making it look like a real human being but it still looks like it was drawn by a couple of school kids. For its game-play however, I would give it a great big whopping 10/10 for its efforts in actually making attacks hurt someone, even if they are in the middle of their special move! It cannot be overlooked that in real life, you can attack someone no matter what they are attempting to do at that precise moment. Whereas in 'Smackdown' if you are halfway through any move, even a simple grapple, you cannot be touched by any other player in the ring. This, I suppose, is good for the average gamer, but it cannot be denied that this is one of the vital areas that has to be covered, in order for the game to have a realistic and life-like effect on the gamer. Especially when they have spent good money to purchase a game that they will expect to be real and not leave an underlying question, 'Was it worth the cost?'

In relation to all other games and their ridiculous prices, it only seems that £39.99 R.R.P. (release price) was a fair deal and in all honesty I give this game a 8.5/10, so yes, it was worth it.
